France's Sulaiman Sesay Wins WPTDeepStacks-Malta!

France's Sulaiman Sesay wins first WPTDeepStacks event in Europe at Malta's Dragonara Casino!

Despite coming into the day 10 out of 12 in chips, Sulaiman Sesay is your newest WPTDeepStacks Champion! Sesay used his solid play and strategic timing to ladder himself all the way to the top.

When heads up play started Giuseppe Polichetti immediately doubled through Sesay to take a 4-1 chip lead. The two would battle back and forth before Sesay would double back and on the final hand it was Sesay who would take home the prize.

The board read 7♠6♥9♦ and Polichetti would check his option only to see Sesay fire out a continuation bet of 250,000. Polichetti quickly check raised to 700,000 and would snap call the all in of Sesay.

Sesay: A♣9♠
Polichetti: 8♣9♣

Sesay was ahead but would have to dodge a few outs. The turn brought the A♥ and Sesay would improve to two pair, still needing to hold on for one more card. The river was the 8♠ and Sesay had to double check to make sure his hand was still good.

Polichetti will take home €21,850 and a lot of respect as his solid play carried him all the way to second.

Sesay also earned WPTDS Player of the Year points for a chance to win a $15,000 seat into the 2016 WPT World Championship at Borgata!
